From Grains to Galaxy invites community artists to submit 2D, 3D, digital, and film artworks exploring Miniaturist and Maximalist expressions inspired by culturally rooted traditions and contemporary experiences.
Guided by the theme of scale—from the intimate to the expansive— the exhibition explores how artists transform ancestral traditions, personal memory, cultural identity, and collective experiences into visual forms ranging from subtle and intricate to bold and immersive.
We welcome works ranging from miniatures to large-scale visual art, including works that explore cultural storytelling, communal celebration, spiritual symbolism, memory, migration, identity, and belonging.
This exhibition is open to artists of all backgrounds and experience levels, with a particular commitment to creating space for community artists who have historically been overlooked or underrepresented in traditional arts institutions.
From Grain to Galaxy celebrates the many ways artists claim space, carry culture forward, and imagine new possibilities for belonging.
Applications due on October 31, 2026.
Artists will be notified by November 30, 2026.
Artworks to be delivered in early February 2027.
Exhibition on view from March 6 - June 6, 2027.
